The Tugboat Tsekoa
After a day of fishing the best salmon and halibut waters on the west coast, you'll be welcomed aboard our comfortably renovated vintage tugboat the TSEKOA. Each night we anchor in a quiet cove near the fishing grounds where you'll enjoy a gourmet meal and then be invited to relax in the lounge and indulge in our on-board collection of fine spirits, port and imported cigars. There are more than a few fish stories to be heard here.
The Tsekoa is a nostalgic wooden vessel over 75 feet long that has spent her entire life cruising the inland waters between Alaska and Vancouver. Built in 1953 by Star Shipyards in Westminister British Columbia, she has an 18 ft. beam, 9 ft draft and weighs in at 100 tons. She comes from an era of heavily built ships with a hull consisting of eight-inch-thick reinforced douglas fir that gives her a solid feel as she glides thought water.
