How We Fish
We utilize various fishing techniques including trolling with down riggers, mooching the current, and jigging the bottom--it's your choice. You'll fish from one of our custom designed 18ft, center console, aluminum fishing boats. These fine fishing machines are unsinkable and rigged with only the best tackle and equipment including VHF radios, depth sounders, and complete safety gear. Each morning your boat will be waiting for you with a fresh supply of brined herring, a tackle box, both single-action and level-wind rod and reel combinations and all the other necessities required for a successful day of fishing. Since we anchor near the fishing sites there is no limit to your fishing time, you can leave at day break and come and go as you please throughout the day until sundown.
If fly fishing is your thing, be sure to ask Bernie about flying fishing for late summer Coho and Sea Bass
Your accomplished guide and skipper, Bernie Egan, is on the water every day sharing his time on each boat, making sure you have the very best fishing experience. At the request of our guests, we're happy to pull anchor and relocate to the other side of the sound, stop off at one of our secret shrimping spots, or take a cruise to visit the grizzlies on shore.
It’s very important to us that your catch is properly cared for and that you leave with a prize of the highest and freshest quality. We do all the fish processing on board including vacuum-sealing and freezing. You will leave with filets that are packaged in manageable portions in freezer boxes that contain ice packs for the trip home.
